Oh, so true! Sometimes what they hear is not you meant to say! Doubly so with social media. Congratulations on your second place finish! Thanks for all your encouragement.

Thanx, Darlene! ;) Too many folks don't think before they type and hit the 'send' button... ugh. :) :) Thanx for the review, my lady! ;) Yvette

Amen to that one! We type often on orders in capital letters, and then we answer a sales rep still locked up, and they are like "Stop yelling at me!" haha! xoxoxo

LOL! Yeah, people forget that folks aren't looking at them to know they're 'being sarcastic' or 'joking' or that there are MOST times more than one way to interpret things...especially across cultures and locations in the country. And the yelling - lol!! ;) Yvette

LoL! You really do have to type almost in a boring manner so you are not misunderstood! I?m a bit sarcastic by nature, so I really have to be careful! Haha!

I think this is a good entry for the 5-7-5 writing prompt.
This short piece tells of emails being inferred and choosing words wisely.
Well done and I wish you good luck with the contest.

Yes, it is true.. When we are angry, better not to compose an e-mail.. As you said, we could not explain to the readers what we intended to convey.. Good luck..

Thank you so very much, R!! I see so many misunderstandings result from folks NOT 'getting this'... somehow, the person typing the email thinks the fact that they 'will' it to be understood the way they mean, that it shall be so.... when, more often than not, it 'will not' be... ;o)
Have a wonderful week out there!!
P.S. Love the 'bridge to infinity' as your profile pic... ;-)

This is a very well written and very true 5-7-5 poem you have penned. We are not there to defend out words in person. I enjoyed reading this. Blessings, Teri

A very well-written poem about choosing our words carefully. We often speak before we think and it is hard to correct that mistake. When we write we have the opportunity to choose better wording or change a phrase.

Very sage advice. Glad that you were able to write this short and sweet piece since many people today just seem to blab about their emotions while : e- mailing , texting, tweeting without giving a second thought to what crazy things they may be typing out and communicating to their friends. Well done.

Beautiful advice, but sometimes our temper overcomes the rational thoughts and we end in the bad side of the politically correctness tableau - emails are inferred
with the reader's emotions ~
choose your words wisely
Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Ah, good luck with the advice given in this clever 5-7-5 -- in order to write something that won't be misunderstood the reader has to have a reasonable measure of comprehension too. LOL!!! (Sorry -- I could not resist.)
Excellent entry. Best of luck.
