Aiona,
I agree the oysters a slimy and squishy. But I can't agree on delicious.
It is a cute picture you chose. The dad is starting his daughter young in collecting oysters.
Good luck in the contest.

Aiona, I am of a very strong opinion that if it dwells in the ocean... it ought to stay there. I suppose I am largely a landitarian... if that's such a thing... I'm taking a bit of poetic license with that word, I'm sure. LOL

Thanks, Susan! I'm sorry I've been absent for a while. Graduated from electrical school, and now I'm home helping husband with the kids' homeschooling. Finding a way to get a routine to write daily again...... hard!

Oh how interesting that you use the Japanese word for "delicious" as your title. And I haven't eaten raw oysters in a long time with all the health warnings lately. Thanks for the restaurant recommendation!

Thank you for the review! Yes, I think that restaurant is closed now, due to coronavirus lockdown. :( I don't know if they will re-open.....

I am honoured you used my photograph. Short but a sweet words that I shall remember... We often get oysters washed up on the beach on this island from the farms near by. We plunge them in boiling water, garlic and wine for a few minutes when they open and then serve them with freshly squeezed lemon.

Hello, Aiona,
Effective six-word poem entry for the contest. The presentation is nice. The word count is right. I wish you good luck in the contest, my friend.

Oysters are a favourite for some, but I have never fancied them myself, but I reckon they are full of protein, the squishy centres and slimy and sickly to me, love Dolly x

I can't eat them raw, myself. I prefer them well cooked. Then their insides are hard and a little grainy, but their gills (?) are soft and chewy, like beef. LOL!
