I like what you've done with this. You've used some very descriptive wording to express the transition. I love the rhyme and flow and the well thought out way you've met the challenge. Thanks for sharing this enjoyable and well written work. Well done!

I really enjoyed reading your poem. I think your take on the phrase that March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb is great. Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful choice of pictures and definitely sets the tone as the blustery winter winds hasten away to leave us with the brilliant colors of spring. I am not a ppoet but I enjoyed your thoughts of the change in seasons. Good luck in the contest.

March does seem to be that pivotal point in the calendar when winter finally concedes and spring takes over. Of course, there is a bit of back and forth all month. Great job describing the season change.
Best of luck in the contest.

A very well-written even the odds poem about the contrast between lions and lambs. It starts with a warning roar and everyone hides away from the wrath until the gentleness starts to reign.

Hello Mystery Writer!
Ah! I love the idea of March being the "Attendant of the Change" when Persephone begins to make her appearance! In fact, I love everything about this well-crafted piece...except... I am not quite sure how "Brisk roars" and "moans" are synonyms for one another, but who cares..."C'mon Spring!" This was/is a tough challenge.

Best Wishes!

LOL! Was either moans or growls.... think I should change it to growls?
reply by Mrs. KT on 01-Mar-2020
    Hello!
Whoa! That's a toughie! But I would go with "growls." "Moans" doesn't pop up on any synonym list for "roars," and according to the format, the first word and last word are to be synonyms. Hoping I have helped.

    Okay. Changed. Whatcha think?

    Hello again!
That's a lot better because in my fuzzy head it makes me think that March comes in with roaring storms, but even at its end, there are still "quite (or quiet?) gentle growls" in soft rains...
See? This is really tough! :)

Your mind is brilliant! Seriously! I love "bidding them waltz to their own music"! I'm just sitting here sighing at its beauty!

Thank you always!! xoxo

Ah, March. The month where all nature begins to awaken from it's winter slumber. The joy of poets and anglers alike. For it is when we, too, emerge from winter waiting to indulge in the joys of spring.
