This is an excellent 5-7-5 poem for the contest
Shyness is something many suffer from, especially actors
who say off stage they have chronic shyness.
Good choice of picture

Shyness can be debilitating. And it does a number on your social life, too.
Shyness can have a variety causes. But it's awfully hard to overcome once it takes root.

It's certainly an interesting thought - a shy man/boy being a mama's boy. The only thing I thought was a little confusing was the artwork chosen is of a woman and not a man? Otherwise, I have no suggestions for improvement or edits.
