Quite a morbid fairy-tale (as many true Grimm's tale happen to be).
I enjoyed the telling of it in paired sentences. I could hear the host and guest talking.
There was one place where in the tale you said the woodsman had lost 'children' instead of 'child'.
Looking forward to your next tale.

Yes, this was going to be continued because there was another child.
And, The Woodsman will die in a violent situation!
Thanks,

A very interesting piece indeed. I love the smell of cedar wood by the way. What can I say? Don't cross the Wood Smith!
I think the evil editor of FanStory has added a few ??????????© to your work.
All the best,
Jan

'One small remark :"'And, deep within the woods of Bavaria, Romania", Bavaria is in Germany. The story is horror indeed, and revenge is not the answer. An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' - Old Testament, new wave forgive and get forgotten.

Hi Doc Ricky! First, I have to say that you have quite an imagination. And secondly, that I don't need a Ph.D. in Psychology to figure out that you're fulfilling your fantasies through storytelling. It's very touching that the toy comes alive and Byron named him Jason -- but frightening that he set all those fires.
Third, as you yourself know very well, that while the Old Testament says, "an eye for an eye, etc.," it is superseded by the New Testament law of love, proclaimed by Jesus Christ, who said "Love your enemies."
Fourth, who are these three guys who wronged you? I am very interested to understand.
I am, always,
Your friend,
Mary Kay

Three guys did not wrong me but they did wrong Byron in this fictional tale.
In my lifetime Mary?
Any people who wronged me?
And, they have.
And, ad for right now.
There's one that stole $1,000 out of my wallet.
(Timothy Squindo)
And, he has six warrants.
...
LI'm chasing other room renters that had never paid me or paid, me very little.
So, in closing, I guess you could say those three people?
...
Well, they represent all of the many, many, many, and more who have basically screwed me over in my life.
Since my wife passed away and I started renting rooms.
Thanks,
Ricky

Hello An interesting lead in and a interesting story movement.
The narrator gave it a bit of lightness.
Ah .... Bavaria or Romania? The two are pretty far apart and was confusing to a European.

I should have googled that very thing.
I thought Bavaria is part of Romania.
But I realized now that it is actually a country itself.
Thanks again,

Romania is a country.
Bavarai is a state' in the German Federation...it is also a huge geological area?
But, Romania and Bavaria ...ah...in some ways Romania would work better for your story, there is still quite a mystique about the Romanian forests...though of course there is the Black forest in Germany, full of wood cutters and myth...But then I live in the Black Forest...

The Black Forest?
Interesting
Any werewolves?
LOL!!!

Good one Doctor! Another wild ride into a children's tale with mature content. Shades of a strange hybrid of both "Hansel and Gretel" and "Pinocchio." And, as a bonus, told by that classic sharpshooter, Annie Oakley. Get your gun gal and help out the Doctor tell another imaginative tale.

Thank you for sharing this, Ricky. I was reminded when reading this of Shelly Duvall's Fairytale Theatre. Did you ever see this? Anyways, I could very much see this as a screenplay or script for the stage. I'm not sure about the excessive quotations/punctuation. I do enjoy how you always set the example for acknowledgements.

Ky Colonel Randolph (Sounds like Civil War Great-great-grandfather's name?)
But in answer to your question about the Shelley Duvall's Fairytale Theater.
Never seen it but interesting.
She's s great actor.
...
I do have a Xilibris Publishing interested in my children's books.
And, we're going to set up and sign contracts.
In order to publish the Three, "Shed a Tear Fairytales and Fables books.
...
As for the quotations and punctuations.
I see important words like heaven hell God time I usually accent them especially if they have a lot to do with my piece that I'm writing.
Sorry for that run in sentences and possible grammar issues I'm watching a horror movie while I'm doing this!
Thanks,

Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking about Pinocchio.
Except it's going to go much, much, more horrid?
Think of Pinocchio on crack!
Thanks again,
Ricky
