Your ramblings hold much weight and are powerful stand alone pieces. I an gald I ask to be your fan.
I appreciate sound suggestions on fixing common problems. I couldn't agree with you more in how to revamp the sale of weapons in the USA.

Hi new friend. Nice to meet you and so glad you enjoyed my rather controversial ramble. Good to have you along and I promise to check your stuff out as well.
-
Oh, thank you. I am more concern about you two!

Weapons, and their ownership in the US, are hot button items on a lot of fronts. And, it all boils down to the simple fact no gun has ever picked itself up, aimed at someone, fired, and murdered them. It is the hand that gun is in that kills. Interesting rant.

Thanks Bro You make a good point. I believe some need more mental assessment as to whether they should have guns but as always the crims are gonna get hold of them in any case.

Hi Geoff, I read your ramble with great interest. When it comes to guns, there's a huge difference between Europe and the US. We don't particularly believe in private people owning guns. It's not legal here and only certain weapons for hunters are allowed. Criminals will always be able to get guns regardless the laws. I'm now a bit better informed how it works in Australia. All best. Ulla, we are more like the UK and Europe as to possession of guns mainly gun clubs and hunters. The police and the military are the only ones who mainly have them. Thanks for coming by.

I'm glad to hear it!!
-
I agree about the crims getting the guns. Rules and Licensing are for the law abiding citizens.

Absolutely!

I enjoyed you ramble, Geoff. I had thought for the longest time that Australia was much larger in land mass than the United States. The map was very helpful, thank you. Big cities are crowded here, but the country is still available and so enjoyed.
I'm pro constitution and pro second amendment although I personally don't have or use a gun. I'd like to think I could if I needed to though. If guns are outlawed from the average citizen, then guess who owns them--the outlaws. I don't think an average citizen should ever have an assault rifle that most of these killers get their hands on. I see it this way: the liberals want our constitution obliterated. However, these politicans are heavily guarded with guns, bodyguards, ammo, and drive cars with bullet-proof windows. They want our gun rights removed completely in order to control and dominate. The same freedoms and flag should cover us all.
Second, if someone wants to kill a human being, they'll find a way, gun or not. The recent barrage of stabbings in London have been downplayed by the American mainstream media. The MSM barely mentions them, except in a blib working its way back to some sort of massive lecture on the need of gun control. But, it's complete gun removal the progressive liberals are after. If you give a mouse a cookie ... he's going to ask for a glass milk.
Sending you my ramble back and best to you both, as always,
Sal xoxo

Great review Sis. And we are on the same page for sure. Them that want em will get em no matter what regulations are in place and you are right about the people only needing certain types of weapons not Semi- Automatics.Maybe you tipped me over into All Time Best for this we will see.

You are most welcome. I knew this would be popular, although divided. I'm hopeful everyone remains respectful to you in their debate. I love a good debate and I was active in high school.
Comment from Sylvia Page
There is no purpose in a person owning a gun if he or she is incapable of using it in an emergency. That is taking into account the victim's mental state when faced with a problem. Wielding a gun may get her or him into serious trouble.
Best wishes

Well said Sylvia. Thanks for the great review. The crims will get guns anyway they can in spite of any new controls that might arise.

Hi Sankey, I live in Canada but do feel reasonable people should be allowed some form of personal protection. Most people here don't have guns unless they are hunters or law enforcement. But the trouble is how do you assess or should have guns and you can't judge a book by its cover and some people hide their true natures. Anyway I like your ramble. All the best Laura

The problem you address becomes a bigger issue in the U.S. every day. Yes, it should be HARDER to get a gun. Some guns people are able to get should be available only to the military!

I think Americans have had the 'right to bear arms for so long' that they will never give them up now. But your idea is a good one. Why people need more than one or two guns is beyond me.

Thanks Judy. I appreciate your great review. As a lot have said even with tighter gun licensing the crooks are gonna get them no matter what.
Comment from Sandra du Plessis
A very well-written ramble (as you call it). My opinion is that a criminal who has the intent to shoot or commit a crime will get a fire arm, either by stealing it or get it from the black market.

Thanks for the great review Sis and you are so right! Licensing and permits are for the law abiding, honest people.

I agree there has to be stronger laws for owning/purchasing guns. The laws are so lacks in the US that almost anyone can buy a gun. Personally I think no one should own a gun. That is how I stand and always have.
