I enjoyed your contest entry, Mystery Author. Your lines read well with good rhymes and imagery. I could envision everything you mentioned. Your words are well-chosen and describe spring in a beautiful way. The art is a great pairing with your words. There is good flow to your poem. We had almost 80* and yesterday. Thanks for sharing and best wishes. Respectfully, Jan

Oh wow, the imagery in this poem is excellent. I really felt like I was inside the words watching the winter melt away. I wish you the best of luck in the contest with this fabulous entry.

I absolutely love this poem. I love the rhyme and I can certainly relate to the subject matter. It was snowing just this morning, here in Duluth, mn. I have had it! Thanks for sharing and best of luck in the contest.

This is a joyful, colorful, hopeful Spring-poem. that I would have liked to give the extra twinkling star.
Several small but annoying flaws convinced me to stop at five stars.
The flow!!! Please read your poem aloud and find out for yourself where you get stuck.
2nd line, "have been stashed" is throwing me off the beat. Better (for instance) to use"now". There are more lines to replace some words to get the nice 4-syllables constant with which you started the poem. Good luck!
You made some rectifications, I see. Well done.

A very well-written rhyming poem about welcoming Spring after a long cold winter. When the winter seems far too long we start searching for signs if colorful warmer Spring.

I know the feeling. Winter started here in November of last year. You evidently live in the northern part of the states, too. I guess we know why the snow birds go South. I really liked your poem.

Hello my friend

Where do you live? I live in Los Angeles, California. Our weather is pretty warm almost all year round. Your poem is a good poem for the spring contest. Good luck.

I live in upstate northeastern NY, about 25 miles from Canada, in the Adirondack mountains, on Lake Champlain. It is beautiful here and people travel from all over to take pictures in the fall. But the winters are long and pretty brutal. Thank you for the nice review.

Long winters take their toll on lives and spring is a welcome change, the shift is often slow and sluggish, you captured this in your poem, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

What a lovely, lively poem that truly makes me wish spring were here already. It's bouncy and jaunty, with a very happy feeling. You can't read this and not smile. Your poem flows very smoothly, and your rhymes all work well.
