I love that there is a Random Acts of Kindness Day, and particularly that that was the day about which you chose to write. You're right that it can be something as simple as "a well-timed cheery wink." The important thing is that you let people know that you're thinking about them and care about their happiness.
I enjoyed your rhyme scheme, with the second and fourth lines rhyming, and then a mid-line rhyme in the third line of each stanza. It gave the poem a jaunty, bouncy kind of feeling, which made it that much more enjoyable to read. Good luck in the contest.

Thanks for the thoughtful review. I apreciate your take on this one. I am afraid acts of kindness are overshadowed by bully taunts these days. America is going to need some couch time when trump is gone.

To go with what you said, voting Trump out of office would be the biggest act of kindness we could bestow upon ourselves and our country - and, probably, the world.
