It is the brave and courageous who reach old age, they are survivors in life and it is easy to succumb to just giving up and I have felt like it on more than one occasion. Your poem is faithful and uplifting and full of optimism, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

As I read this poem, I find sad, negative emotions invading my mind. I think it's the not knowing how and when to let go [of bad past emotions], but certainly the first line is a real downward sensation. If the intention was to write about unhappiness, it's certainly very well-done.
