Such a sixer! I can picture your scurrying to refresh the Poe-like swinging feeder which quickly invites the birds to refresh themselves. I really like your simile (Poe's pendulum from his short story with the feeder). The accompanying painting you choice is delightful. What a motley crew of sweet birds your feeder attracted. Excellent+ read!

I am delighted you enjoyed FFF and I?m pleased you like my allusion to Poe?s pendulum. Many thanks for your kind praise of both the poem and the artwork, Marilyn. And those six bright stars are most welcome.

What an appropriate topic for the February Fun poem - the chilly late winter winds still blowing and our feathered friends feeling the chill - thanks for sharing

I sometimes have to fill the feeder twice a day because of the foul weather and all the birds that depend on me. Many thanks for sharing FFF, zanya.

Thank you very much for sharing FFF and your kind praise. Indeed, I enjoy feeding the birds in winter. The feeder hangs just outside my dining room window.

Hello Mystery Writer!
Ah! You are writing to one who loves to feed the birds and feels so distraught when the squirrels empty the feeders - especially on a freezing northern Michigan February morning!
Well-executed!

Best Wishes!

Those squirrels rob the feeder and I?ve yet to find a way to thwart them consistently. Many thanks for sharing FFF and your kind praise.

The selection of this poem for your entry, tells of your concern for these feathered creatures you so lovingly call friends. Your rhyming scheme is non-conventional but works well, and the image you chose, perfectly describes what I imagined as I read your poem.

I am delighted you enjoyed my paean to the birds I feed. I write much rhymed and metered verse and ABCB is my preferred rhyme pattern. Many thanks for your kind praise.
