Truth God new rule self pride ( maybe double think.)

Going to have to read George Orwell's novel 1984 again.

Truths is a fun read.

Who doesn't suppress truth at one time or another. Well written. "They and you speak truths. Right!" Great line. Can we really believe everyone?

My mistake, sorry I hit the wrong key.

A short verse, yet its message is elegantly expressed with great truth.

Truly a gift,to be able to say so much in so few words

Right! God knows I suppress truths- well the truth isn't always pretty- but it's still better to come out clean

Under new rule ride
Escape, wink, void in self-pride.
So I lie! What a joy hide! - haha- lying has its limits though- eventually we'd just feel like pinocchio with the extending nose
good job

Wow, this was very creative!! It is really fun to lie, to give your self a sense of
self pride, or do you??!! great imagery, well we all do it, but we won't
admit it! Great reading!!

I think you summed up most of the human race in very few words.

Escape, wink, void in self-pride.
So I lie! What a joy hide!

That's the part that sums us.
'Tis a pity really.

An outstanding tanka ...The form is perfect and the flow fantastic! You continue to amaze me with shorter forms and do so well with them...I like the rhyme and don't often see rhyme in a tanka...Nice touch...I enjoyed reading!!

Take care, be well and all the best, Carol ::))

'Beatle' quote today: "Let the rain come...for when it rains it shines..."

wow this is hard one hunting for what you have hidden here ..you said ..God knows I suppress truths ...then ..Escape, wink, void in self-pride....what i get is that you have no self pride and you lie about it and say you do ...not sure if that is what it is or not ..nice poem ...good work

Ah, my thought was: by holding your tongue you avoid lying, which is a lie (untruth) unto itself? Nicely put, as always, Alcreator!

Allcreator, this tanka is pretty good. Not sure of your full meaning here, but possibly to lie feels good if you don't get caught? Well written with unique style.
