This 5-7-5 on something lost, Lost Child, has the right set up and sadly witnesses the sorrow of not being wanted. Such inner sadness would be hard to compensate.

Yes, it would be hard to ever get over the feeling of being unwanted. Thank you for your review!

This writing makes my heart cry. Why is it that people have not figured it out, when they carelessly and selfishly have sex without protection. . . children are born. In God's plan, they need to give up their lives to support their child. This is what's wrong in the world. Even animals understand but humans don't seem to.

Hello Mystery Writer,
A realistic 5/7/5 poetic offering that poses to the reader the burgeoning tragedy in America today. Just this morning the news show I was watching showcased the escalating prevalence of opioid addiction in New Hampshire.
Well-crafted.
Best Wishes!

There are so many lonely children waiting for adoption. What a wonderfully written poem and the picture is haunting.
Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day and God bless.

A heart- wrenching poetic expression of what it must feel like for a young child who longs to be loved in a forever home- a very effective picture to illustrate
