This 5-7-5 on something lost, Kansas Home, has the right set up and finds the Doom Patrol on their way to sack the green castle and seize all the Oreos.

Lost in the beauty of God's creation, for sure. Love the beautiful image you've chosen to accompany the writing. . .and if we are still for just a moment, I can see getting lost in this natural beauty. :)

Thanks for the review moongirl. Remember the scene in the Wizard of Oz as Dorothy and friends are almost at the Emerald City, but the poppy fields made them so sleepy. Then they see the jade towers and get re~invigorated and they begin to gallop through those flowers... full of hope and determination.
I always loved that scene. Poppy dust because they are running through.
Glinda: Are you a good witch or a bad witch?
Dorothy; I'm not a witch at all!!
Cheers.

Well, you certainly did a good job with this short, short. The image you chose is lovely and it really kindled your imagination. My favorite line is poppy dust scatters - love the originality of that. Hugs, Lou

Thanks for the review Louise. Remember that scene as Dorothy and her friends are falling asleep in the poppy field as they get close to their destination? Suddenly, Emerald City looms and they are invigorated and gallop through the flowers on the final leg of their journey, hence the poppy dust scattering. As a young girl, I loved the look of hope personnified on the friends's faces. Cheers.

I like this lovely 5-7-5 poem that does, indeed, remind me of the Oz movie which is a favorite. The pretty photo of the poppy backs up your colorful depiction in the poem. Pleases the mind's eye.

Thanks for the insightful review. The artwork is from one of my favorites, avmurray.
I just loved that scene where Dorothy and her friends are revitalized and they encourage each other to keep moving towards their destination, Emerald City!
Cheers.

A very concise poem that brings up a different view upon Dorothy place of birth. "~ Poppy dust scatters ~
Emerald City rises
in jaded splendor" Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Thanks for the review. Remember the scene when they are approaching Emerald City but began to get sleepy from the poppies. They see the green city rise before them and they encourage each other on to just keep on going. The poppy dust is because they are galloping through the flowers. I appreciate your thoughts on this one, cheers.
