By now the procedure should be over and done with so I hope things are progressing well with you. And I hope the radiotherapy is not proving too onerous.

Hi no Radiotherapy for at least another 2 weeks while we heal up. I have 2 follow ups before then. I am doing a Mixed Ramble about this and other stuff a bit later. Thanks for the review.

A horrific account that brings home the true impact of skin cancers. Yours makes the recent removal of a basal cell carcinoma above my eye seem like a walk in the park - a walk, nonetheless, that has left me with little feeling in my forehead. Presumably, a nerve must have been cut during the procedure.

Hi Geoff. I feel for you and Louise. What a ghastly thing you are both going through. I certainly hope that this will be the end of your treatments. Thank you so much for sharing and keeping us updated. Lots of regards to both of you. Ulla:)))

Yes, I think this had been a most uncomfortable period in your life I would imagine dear bro. I've got an appointment with the skin specialist in a couple of weeks myself heh heh. Well done bro, give my praise to Louise for her skill too. Well done, blessing, Roy

HATE cancer and all it entails. I lost my Mother to the disease the day after Christmas in 2007. This is interesting, though would not wish cancer on anyone. Do as the doctors say and hopefully this is the last you will have to cope with the monster.

Thanks Sis. Tomorrow is the big day for the closing up of the wound. When it heals I start the Radiotherapy. Appreciate the prayers.

My grandpa gets skin cancer. He knows what to watch for and when to go in to get them removed. They can be serious but when you know what it is and how to take care of it it makes it a little easier. I hope it heals fast and definitely follow doctor orders.

Sankey,
This is my first reading of your story, but I promise to go back and read the other chapters. It's quite a story and I want to say that I feel empathy for you. The way you have written the story is straight forward enough to give the facts of the matter, but the reader also takes away that you are distressed, as anyone would be. You have gone through this circumstance with much strength and dignity.
Regarding the washing of your scalp. There are many natural oils that you could consider using. I am sure you could discuss this with your doctor and go to a essential oil store and pick some up at a reasonable price. Use a fine tooth comb to just work it through to your scalp. (Make sure you are not allergic-do a test patch) Who knows? You might even like the way you smell. ;)
I am sending so many prayers and blessings for your healing and speedy recovery, Sankey. Sounds like you are in wonderful hands with your loving and caring wife.
Respectfully,
Beth

Aw Beth what a lovely review from a new friend. Much appreciated. We have to take care not to mess with the dressing on my head. That will change some tomorrow after they close things up more. Appreciate all the encouragement.

I feel for you, Sanky, my husband has just had skin cancer removed from his face. He has three more to be operated on, of which the next one will be done in the next few weeks. Just waiting for this one to heal up nicely. Your first 'crater' lol, has healed beautifully, you can hardly see it. I'm sure it will be the same with this one, and soon you'll be able to have that long awaited hair wash. :)) Sandra xxx

Hi Sanfra, always an encouragement to hear of others "in the same boat" as an old Pastor's wife used to say about us your hubby and me, hehe. Thanks for the great empathetic review.
