Haha, how I can relate. You're right, you'll be crucified if you give a three. My poetry ranking is well above 100 and continues to fall, even though I mostly receive fives. It's discouraging! I appreciate your honest approach.

I've spent more money than I should. I probably review 5-10 poems a day, but I rarely get member cent pumps any more. So I try not to focus on it. O vermuch.

I try and review one full page about thirty poems normally at the back it earns 10 md enough for a new piece to be promoted then i go scouting on the top page for some bucks this gives enough for an old piece to be promoted ... and I only tend to use maybe one or two pumps to promote each that way I get at least two poems out a week possibly four or five ... my new regime is meaning I dont post anything unless theirs one new which justifies an oldie going out ... you can promote your work as often as you like top slots are all about how many reviews you like ... fan everyone that reviews your work so you have a private review base no matter what calibre just be honest with them review everything in you own private collection first then go hunting ... thats the way I do it.

It sounds like you do a lot more reviewing than I do. I used to review primarily from the "up next" I've shifted to reviewing people who review me, and reviewing people I follow. And even then I have a hard time keeping up!

... what I tend to do is get about thirty Im following ... thats about a page worth on the poems main board ... that way when I have a full house I have enough to promote a new piece ! ... management ... see what your capable of reviewing, a full thirty takes me about one to two hours and these are mainly people who have reviewed my work even if only once. When I have them all done im free to write and review at leisure which normally means front page for bucks to promote an old piece a 6.55 md. 7-8 poems.Anything after that is free time ... I normally have a full house every couple of days so theres plenty time to think and write when I can or need to ... the other thing is when I post something new I like it to go in a comp see how it fares this is an extra 5.50 md another 7-8 poems but it still hangs for the three days and you still get your reviews ... the only draw back is you dont get a lot of reviews unless you have a good fan base who review you but the failure of the website is unless your promoting and putting work out constantly hardly anyone will fan you thats why I try to keep up with my private reviewing ... simple see !

I just wrote something about wholeheartedly believing we deserve what we get. If you don't like to be where you are figure it out and change it. Sometimes people don't want to move forward so rapidly. This nonet feels personal as though the author has had enough of not being able to be truthful, so help me God stuff. There's a lot of commentary about the honesty of reviewing on here lately. No, real honesty doesn't ask for much, but it seems to offend too many who think they are the encapsulation of perfection in everything they write.
I much prefer an honest review, so long as it's not written from a personal point of view. Give me constructive criticism over fluff comments any day!

Indeed ... we are responsible for producing heightened egocentric over popularised poets and we really need to curb our enthusiasm and start reigning in on some of them so from now I will be trying my best for an honest appraisal lol.

I think any poetry, no matter how simple the format, whether short, long or tall, it's still about words. This format, if written symmetrically, (like in a V shape, one can do it in advanced editor) is more difficult than a random narrative. But well done, good luck in the contest,

Don't you hate getting four-star's, especially when someone says that it's good? Getting three stars is really terrible, and you know the person doing the writing must have serious issues. Thanks for sharing this unique writing.

well I say from now on the person who gets three stars must have some serious issues and the four stars will be an expected protocol any fives go to the well informed and educated and the sixes are only for the elite poetry. Learn to stand young man.
