I relished your title and the matching artwork plus the parallel colors for your text. I admired your imagery and especially enjoyed the "broken voices" intensified by the alliteration of "b's". Best wishes in the nonet contest- Joan

A very well-written Nonet about an artistic view of an artist expressed in colors and form that tell a story for the viewer to decide what they are seeing in the colorful display.

I agree with the premise, "Each day we live affects the shape of the next," but, that just isn't consistent with "fragments of tomorrow" being found in "remnants of today." And I'm sorry to say I can't understand the rest, which, of course, could be my fault.

We never really leave tomorrow behind....feelings, images, stay with us and affect the way we face/react to today..... Sorry if that wasn't clear, Don, but I do, as always, appreciate your review, my friend! Take care!

You're welcome, and I apologize if I offended you, but the poem does say what happens tomorrow is found in today, instead of vice versa.

Don, Ya gotta know, man, it would take a lot more than that to offend me! 😉 Enjoy your weekend, my friend!

Wow - this is a colorful and insightful entry for the Nonet contest. Beautiful word pictures like in your second line draw the reader in. Love your color treatment on the text. Good luck in the contest.

The first two lines could be true even if you switched around the words today and tomorrow. But the way it is shows that hope for tomorrow is always in what we do today. I like the way the font color changes throughout the poem. It is also that all this is the fodder for what we write.
Good luck in the contest.

Nice job with the format - I like this form a lot. You can tell a lot in only the nine lines. And end with a strong thought. You've done that well. I like the phrase "fragments of tomorrow".

I enjoyed this, Yvette, it's not often that I get to read a rhyming nonet.
Your first two lines really caught me, ...fragments of tomorrow, can be found in remnants of today.... Thinking of it seriously, that's true, isn't it? We do things that will be done tomorrow, but in some way have been started today. Hmm. You're a very clever lady! Where's my garden shed????? Well done on this lovely nonet, my friend, I really enjoyed it. :)) Sandra xxxx

This was actually one I had written for Lady Sal's 'Nonet on the Nines' challenge so I thought I would just throw it into the contest instead.... course, now I gotta find time to write another one for Sunday, the 9th!! ;) :) LOL! Take care over there, my lady! ;)

Excellent ... very aesthetic and pleasing with rich images and good word use delivering a good coherent and delectable piece giving voice of wisdom to an interesting concept and idea ... it flows even and free with no retarded or incoherent flaws with a much sought richness of sentiment and word use.

Stellar nonet, Mystery Writer!
The past and the present are definitely woven daily into one's life and color our futures. So appreciate the thought of a continuum as it applies to our lives, experiences, and choices.
Wish I had six stars for this exceptionally well-crafted offering!

Best Wishes!

Great job with this poem that expresses your idea well with very well chosen words and in a unique format. Yes we all have remnants in our brain that we wish were not there.
