This is such a wonderfully written poem. I love the way it is written as well as the image you used for this poem. All in all, I really enjoyed reading it and think its visual representation is beautiful.

I try, Patricia, I try... it isn't easy though when your father says things like, "Your mother and I are old, we don't want to live forever," when you bring over surgical masks for them to wear because the plumber is coming to work on the pipes in a house that's probably 200 years old and the person that opened the wall breathed in the dust and was in the hospital with pneumonia for 3 months because he breathed in old mouse poop. Apparently, when the plumber got there, they all had a good laugh at my expense. ... Parents! ;)

Two wonderful poems in one, what a treat. Both are very well-written, interesting, with a powerful message behind it. Although they are both beautiful I like the encouraging message behind the first one the best. It gives us hope that we have a purpose, a reason for being. Nicely done.

A very well-written heartfelt poem. God always choose the ones who seem worthless to the world. He doesn't need people who are perfect and have all belongings their hearts desire.

It is free-verse and uses the line well forming the expression and emphasis on each weight of words but here is where it fails and this is what the four is for it is unimaginative has no real depth of meaning and lacks a furthering of the imagery to open the imagination and let the voice of free verse speak it is an endearing peace and a heart warming sentiment which I can share and understand but unless this is going to speak of liberty and expression from your portion of experience I can only allow it a four ...
