Hello Sally. This is a wonderful poem expressing the condition of your soul in light of the conditions in the world. I'm not sure how anyone can feel peace in this day and age without the assurance of Christ and His promises.
Being a student of eschatology, I believe there are no events yet to be fulfilled standing between today and the rapture.

Dear Z. Thank you so much. I appreciate you and our united faith. I, too, am a student and teacher of eschatology. The rapture and Secomd Comimg of Christ is my favorite areas of study. I've been at this since my conversion to Christianity at 16. I'll never let up either. It is central to my hope and faith. I am deeply honored that you enjoyed this and deem it six worthy. I penned it this week, overwhelmed by many things in my life. I hope it ministered to you and your faith. Stay strong, Z. He is coming soon!!

I will not distract by elaborating here, except to say that faith as strong as yours is vital for weathering the times ahead, but not sufficient without righteous action -- meaning you are also right that we must "not bend / into the foul" (self-serving deeds) rather than standing with others to fend off the growing Evil which threatens us all. Prayer and belief alone cannot and will not save us. We MUST act, at the ballot box, in our writing, and in every other way we can to reverse the evil trends in this world. We who are still alive on Earth will be judged on our ACTS, not by our faith alone while passively waiting for God to fix everything FOR us.

Thank you so much, dear Mike. Not everyone understood that line, "I will not bend into the foul." Deitrick Bonhoffer said that the only way evil will succeed is for good men to do nothing. I suppose he meant for us all. Thank you for the wonderful review, but most of all, seeing this poem with eyes for what it truly is; my resistance of evil and the hope for good with my faith in tact. Yes, Sal, exactly. Now I must scold your technical equipment for misstating what I know you meant. It is good to have faith in tact (being tactful), but you meant "faith intact" (faith unbroken). Yes, we ALL will need our faith to get through what is fast upon us, though incubating for over seventy years now. "Climate change" is only a symptom of it, and ordinary people are NOT the cause, nor are cattle or other falsely accused sources. More in a PM. -- Mike

I, too, think the end is near. I would be afraid if it weren't for my faith. It has carried me through some dark days in my life. I cannot imagine facing a day without God in my life. Beautiful poem, Sally, about your faith.
