Very effective. Your words with the photograph brutally and honestly depict and convey this disorder. Very well done, again within the short parameters of the 2-4-2. Astounding.

Any mental illness is a horrible thing to experience. I can't imagine what it would be like to deal with this kind though! Ugh! thanks for checking it out! xoxo

Oh dear, this is a graphic disorder Im not so sure I understand completely. Jackson does as his degree is in psychology. I think the humans are so wonderfully, yet so intricate. I feel that this is more connected to trauma than a disorder. The only person I have known with this was severly abused as a young child. She found healing and wholeness in Jesus.
Sending you my best today as always, and best wishes for the contest,
Sally xoxo

Yes I agree, trauma can do much harm to the mind far past what possible injury to body does. I remember first being introduced to this in the movie ?three faces of eve?. And then in ?Sybil?. Other mental illnesses are discussed far more than this one. But I agree, it stems more from an inability to cope rather than a disorder. Thank you for reading, dear one! xoxo

This brings the reader back to psychology studies in college. I remember thinking Sally Field did a good job in "Sybil." I hear some 's' alliteration on emphasized words and 'm' alliteration on emphasized words, too. Good luck in that contest!

Yes and an even older one, ?The Three Faces of Eve? was the first one I saw. I?d never heard of this disorder before then. The mind is truly fascinating but also so fragile. xoxo

Diana,

My entry in this contest is not a medical problem, but the creativity for these short 2-4-2 posts is really interesting. At minimum, the selected artwork for each helps to advertise the post, as yours did.

Good luck.

Mark

Yes, these can be very challenging! But you seem to be able to overcome them quite well with all the short verse you do! You amaze me with that actually. I?ll go and check yours out! Thank you for taking time to read! xoxo

Very striking presentation. You present an excellent description of the Dissociative Identity Order in your 2-4-2. The chaos must be terrible for the person who experiences this, and so troubling to friends and loved ones. Great artwork choice. and best of luck in the contest. judi

Yes, I?m sure it is quite difficult for those suffering as well as those that love them. The mind is such a fragile thing! xoxo

It would be terrible to be in that condition. It seems that new medications can be helpful, though. judi

Yes we have come a long way in medications!!
reply by judiverse on 02-Feb-2020
It seem that one of problems, though, is getting those people to take their medications. judi

My grandson (23) was recently diagnosed as Bipolar 1 (rapid transition) with psychosis. Basically schizophrenia with mood swings. He was treated with a medicine that made him unable to get up for work any longer and made him feel dead he said, no dreams and no waking in middle of night. It was so scary for him that he just stopped taking. So symptoms came back and finally at hospital, they gave him a shot for psychosis which lasts about 3-4 weeks. The place where he is supposed to go for counseling requires him to sit in group therapy before they will assign a psychiatrist to monitor his medicine but he cannot bring himself to go. He just is not ready to talk among others and most times, doesn?t realize he is even ill. He has great anxiety in crowds also. We are trying to find private therapy as I can?t believe they refuse to help if he doesn?t go to group. It is not an easy path or easy solution by any means.

The graphic is so surreal! The words evoke the stark reality of a life that is simply being crushed. You are a genius with words that form a concrete ground for the reader to pause and just say, Wow!, My life is pretty good, right now." Thank you always for writing with honest emotions.

That is so true! To know the struggles of others can only make us stop and appreciate our own life. My grandson (23) was recently diagnosed as Bipolar 1 with psychosis, basically schizophrenic with highs and lows in moods also. It is a difficult process to get right medicine that he will take. It either leaves him terribly tired or so knocked out he is scared he?s not going to wake up. The mind is such a fragile thing. Appreciate you encouraging review! xoxo

You have my heartfelt sympathy with knowing your grandson is so fragile, but also celebrating that there are the right meds once they get them right to provide a steady and stable life.

Trauma is a real deep experience in one's life and can produce mentality disorder. It brings lots of sadness to the brain that one cannot handle. If someone is in an accident, this can bring on depression, too.

Our minds are so fragile, more than we realize I think. I can?t imagine having to deal with something like this sometimes not even knowing another part of you has. Even functioning without you even remembering. It is overwhelmingly complicated. xoxo

Stark. A marked departure and somewhat of a surprise coming from my so-far expectations of Diana L. Crawford. But even better...keep me off guard and guessing. There's romance somewhere--even in this. Begs the question--what happened? People who are different due to trauma should be well understood. Great graphic selection.

Oh I have many things up my sleeve! Haha! I have no personal experience with this disorder, but have always found it an a fascinating and horrible issue some deal with. I am not, however, a stranger to other mental illnesses. My grandson (23) has recently been diagnosed as Bipolar 1 with psychosis and it has been devastating for our family. I am still digesting and cannot write about it yet. I appreciate your kind attention to my work! xoxo
