Your predictions make sense in all areas, YM. You did a great job explaining the effects of each one. I can see how each will come to be as we are already heading in the direction of them with energy, education, trade schools, population growth, and the meatless debate. I agree and had somehow missed this entry, possibly because it was blind initially. Or, possibly because I am blind. Anyway, this is so well said in your matter-of-fact way. We can oftentimes see where things are going by current trends and cultural shifts. I see things moving more like the fall of Rome. History does repeat itself, especially if we refuse to learn from it. My daily prayer is that our nation will turn back the other way. I see disturbing trends in the United States, alarmingly so. Twas a blind entry, my lady, and very much like unlike the other entries... when I actually took the time to read the others when the contest opened, I honestly didn't expect it to do all that great (and some folks commented about my bias which I actually tried to completely avoid...sigh) since I took a 'serious' route and many of the others were definitely not 'serious'... ;) :) So I was pleasantly surprised with the results! ;) And, unfortunately, I did not include the 'more alarming' changes that are definitely headed our way if things don't change on the divisive national stage... it is very sad.

Gosh, I hope not -- pretty sure she would be a complete 'dud' to the folks on this website! ;) LOL! I love to be analytical and logical and sometimes I have to remind myself to be 'more human' in social settings, but I think that part of me's best left "off-site"... this was a temporary lapse since, when I read the contest definition, I thought this was what they were asking for... While most of them are not exactly what I would like to see happen, I think they are largely accurate and unbiased from your viewpoint. I like the way you have formatted this and have the essence of each prediction in bold letters. I think you have a handle on the future and will do well in this contest.

These twenty predictions for 2020 follow a pattern which takes the current trends into the worst or best case scenarios. It all seems pretty cold when it's laid out like this.

As stated in author notes, this is not a wish list or things I personally want. It was a contest for predictions and I attempted to keep emotions and else out of it and simply look at/lay out facts, etc. I'm sorry you found it cold as that was not the intention, but I do appreciate your review.

My reaction is on a personal level as to the trend of society and doesn't reflect your framing of it beyond acknowledging the probable accuracy of your prognostications. Happy day.

I hope anything that further isolates people will not happen, but I'm afraid it will. Too many on-line relationships are replacing real relationships with real people. Kids need schools to learn social skills. I worry about the consequences of so much technology.

I reckon your predictions are spot on and the only thing I believe you left out was our reliance on drugs throughout our life and in old ages, I think there will be a massive increase in the use of drugs to help us live longer, I enjoyed your in-depth write here, very informative and enjoyable, love Dolly x

Very well thought-out, and clearly expressed. Much too "studied" and academic for my taste, with a few obvious predictions made to sound like epic events. Hiding simple thoughts inside complicated expressions of those thoughts. The format is wonderful and the presentation most certainly done by a well educated person.
