Hi dear Yvette,
Eerie yet true indeed, this contrast mind's need and reprieve in silence
and solitude for hopes to emerge and flow through beyond the mind,
and likewise, sometimes our minds are so busy and noisy we cry in
need of silence to quash and stifle them! Stellar impact for this
brief 5-79 poem! Thanks for sharing. And a timely reminder for
us all yet too easily dismissed.
Love, blessings, Ronni

Silence is definitely one of those realities that is a two edged sword.... the edge chosen by our current state of mind! ;) :) Thanx for your wonderful (as always!!) review, my lady, and have a great remainder of the weekend! :) Yvette

I am so glad to be alerted that your poem won this contest, because it gave me the opportunity to read it. I relished the thought-provoking contrast you evoked. The artwork and use of alliteration intensified your message. Well done! -Joan

Wow, what an incredible offering for this contest, Yvette. It is no surprise at all that it is the winner. I am sure glad I didn't miss this one! I can't keep up with your writing, and it grieves me!
(Right now, I am sick with some %#$!! virus that keeps hanging on though, so I really haven't been doing a lot more than sleeping.) But congratulations, my friend. A six won't help to promote this jewel,so I'll save it for now (forgive me?), but please know I think it is exceptional! That artwork too -- sublime!

Oh, I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well, Dawn -- I do hope that Prissy is taking good care of you - lol!! ;) :) These past couple of days have been kinda nutty and I've not been on much -- just posted in the evenings (things I managed to scrawl throughout the day!) and that's about it... hopefully get a little time after today....! ;) Take care up there, Lady Dawn! :) Yvette

Sometimes things are a mouthful... but you've said a mind full my dear! That's really something that you've got to ponder a second to 'get' and then it hits you like a bat to the head... 'Well Duh!' LOL Love you, Beautiful Lady! I hope it's warmer down there than the 31 degrees we're loving up here! :)

I'm trying to get through all of the things I missed. I'm finding it easier to go from person to person, instead of mail to mail. LOL... I'm finally done! Who knew I'd win a contest in the meantime! How about that... I took third place by myself and I took as much home as the first place tie winners and more than the second place three way tie. LOL Weee! AND I had gotten a note from the CEC saying that I should change my entry as it wasn't in compliance with the rules. I wasn't around the day it came, but the next day I got back with a note saying that I wasn't going to take the time and not to hold the contest for me. I looked and it was still in the contest... who knew! LOL, I'm in the way of thinking that this is just too funny, maybe fate. LOLOLOL

Holy GuacamoleYvette,
The voting proved this 5-7-9 was heads and shoulders better than all the other entries - others were not even close. I give you props for how other entries, including my entry, were not in the race compared to yours. Most often the top two winners are decided by 1 or 2 votes. This vote was akin to the HS varsity team playing the all star 6th graders - no competition (-;

It is difficult to know what to do when someone is suffering depression. Here you have the argument whether to talk or to be silent, a poignant write, love Dolly x

Your piece is so thought provoking. These few words speak volume and the picture you selected gives life to your words as they paint a very vivid piece. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

This is clearly a summary of what Eckhart Tolle speaks of. The chattering of our mind. The screaming is the mind working against our happiness. It is as if the mind has a life of its own. The saboteur's scream. I am voting for this.
