Thanx, Ricky! ;) I'm so glad you enjoyed this one -- it's one of those that I honestly thought wouldn't do well cuz it's too nerdy to have wide-spread appeal, but I still couldn't resist when the I ran across the word in the 20-letter listing!! ;) :) The ?nerd? was strong with this one.... LOL! ;) Take care! :) Yvette

LOL! Just not a lot of 'non-nerdy' words in the 20-letter word listing, Colin! ;) Thanx for the review and have a wonderful weekend! :)

Truthfully, I'm not sure I even know what this contest is about but, your notes sure helped and your presentation intrigued me. Good luck. I have no idea who will win this one but you get my vote. xoxo Kiwi

This teacup poem, Buckminsterfullerene, fulfills the challenge and does it well. This model allotrope does look like the typical soccer ball. What do you know.

Wow - you picked an obscure 20 letter word for this contest. And you seem to fully understand it - which is over my head lol, but you met all the requirements and it kept my interest. Cool illustration. I love geodesic domes! Good luck :)

I love that you used a chemistry term for this entry. Your description in the poem itself is great. The author notes lend interesting historical support.

I loved my chemistry class in high school. I actually took it to get out of the speech class because I felt the speech teacher never had control of his class. My gain.

Best of luck in the contest.

I think this is a good entry for the 20 Letter Teacup Dictionary Poem contest.
This short verse tells us about a couple of new words.
Well done and I wish you lots of luck with the contest.

How very interesting Yvette. I enjoyed the notes more than the Teacup, I must say. You and Helen always come up with wonderful themes and subjects. Enjoyed it!!

I don't know much about the figure here and I must admit to being a bit mystified. As for Buckminster Fuller, I graduated from college in 1973 when he was all the rage. Thanks for sharing.
