You certainly capture the cycle of life with the survival of the fittest in this Lune! I admired the picture's visual effects and your poem's focus on sound, intensified with your use of alliteration. Best wishes in the contest- Joan

Great job with this creative type of poem. The eagle is definitely a specialist in catching fish. Was "view to a kill" a James Bond movie? Interesting word choice "keening."

This is quite a striking poem which makes effective use of the short lune poetry style. I especially liked the middle line. The picture was a good choice to complement the words.

Hello, this all comes together rather nicely, doesn't it? Nice work from the prompt. I liked the photo of the Eagle, they are so magnificent. And the words were telling of their attributes and ability as Kings of the sky.

This is clever! Eagles while majestic are definitely a death toll for an unsuspecting fish! I like to think at least the last thing the fish did was have happy thoughts about swimming upstream and enjoying the last moments of their short life. Great entry. Good luck.
