Well, you are chalking them up lately. Congrats some splendid words. Your delivery is so to the point, with just the right economy of words. Well done! ¥ou also have a fine touch with your reviews, and I thank you for that.

LOL! It's almost always a reflection of the mood of the voters, my friend -- the short formats are just perfect for a busy teacher...there's always a few minutes to step aside and do a poem and not even have to look up rhymes....and, of course, the 'flavor' of the poems change, too, with my mood at the end of the teaching day - LOL! ;) Thanx for stopping by and have a great rest of the week! ;) Yvette

A very likely splash, with an impressive illustration, but between you and me, do you really believe a salmon can express the misery of its impending doom by keening?
(Two out of three isn't bad.)

Yeah, I don't know about the salmon... it could have been the eagle 'screaming' in triumph! lol! Thanks for the review, Don!

Aw, who'll know? - how bout we forget it?

A very well-written lune about the mighty eagle who planned this lethal splash to find that salmon swimming in the lake unexpectingly until the eagle striked.

My thanks for your review.

What a fabulous presentation, and the lune? Marvelous! Yes, I can almost 'hear' the salmon - even though a fish wouldn't make a loud enough noise, the line tells of the suffering.
Good luck in the contest!

They are stealth predators. You can look at their eyes and see intelligence in them and the ability to see at great distances. I like the message of this and enjoyed reading this well written work. Well done!

This is a terrific Lune, my friend. A well chosen title giving these few syllables a new perspective. Nicely done and good luck! -Kerry.

I've never heard a salmon make a keening cry but I can almost hear it in this beautiful, flowing entry for the Lune contest. This is the most lyrical entry I have read. Loved it. Good luck in the contest.

Wow! Simply wow! You managed to capture this moment and describe it brilliantly well in my opinion! The hawk needs to do whatever it takes to survive and feed. But the process of diving in and catching a fish right from the surface of water and then just flying away is a sight ti behold. Good luck for the contest! Cheers

Your line and the art are very complimentary. Great job and best of luck to you in the contest.
Nature is so much fun to watch and to marvel at and you did well to describe it in a few short words.

I believe you have followed all of the requirements for a 5-3-5 lune.
Your picture was a great choice for this poem.
Best of luck in the lune contest.
