This poem, Welcome, Red Riding Hood, has a fun meter and rhyme as you direct us to what we can finally distinguish as an image we can imagine is a hooded child. I do clearly see the gorilla skull she's looking at to her left.

LOL!! Hooray, you found....something! :) Shhhhhhh, don?t tell anybody.... there's really nothing there.... :) :) We had a choose a pic from FanArt and, as my eyes scanned through the treasure trove of offerings over there (soooooo many to see!!), this one just jumped out and I immediately found myself 'looking' for things in it? and a poem was born!! ;) :) Thanx for your review, Bill - much appreciated! :) Yvette

Hey Yvette. This is a new twist. The poem is very clever and I used it as a guide to locate Red. I'm impressed with how you incorporated the directions into the poem. I think I saw her but I'm not sure. Interesting piece. Z (*_*)

That's quite a picture. It's almost surrealistic with all of it color and shape mixes. I was going to say, if she's in there, she's an expert hider. (*_*). Z

The artwork and poem really do go well together. I could just imagine Red Riding Hood stumbling and searching through the trees. Good luck in the contest.

hi

I read this twice and for some reason laughed both times...perhaps not what you intendeded...but the voice was just so rascally...
and because I read it twice and liked it even more the second time...the old gold star just had to come out...

This poem made me giggle. It was funny as well as entertaining and I loved the picture. I liked the font as well as the black background. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.

Hi Yvette. Well you have chosen an excellent artwork piece to write about. The art is unique, complicated and interesting. Your poem focuses on finding the wolf in the picture. If it is there, I didn't see it. Very enjoyable. Best of luck in the contest. Marilyn

LOL! I looked at your pix for something in it, too. It DID look as if something could be camouflaged in there.

WOW! This SO creative and well-written. I think the speaker is the wolf--
reality, or some point of reality. Red Riding Hood is the die-hard idealist,
to the point that she endangers herself. She simply refuses to SEE, won't take off that "hood."

A very well-written poem about the art piece from carver's wood. It seems like a disorganized mess but when you are focused one may see a hidden wolf looking like a tree.

A wonderful enjoyable read for this morning. I caught myself trying to see something that is not there. Great rhyme and excellent meter and loved the last line

This is so much fun to read. It reminds me of the advanced Simon Says following directions game of "Do this, do that." I didn't find the wolf but had fun trying. Six stars for getting the reader involved and creating something I might use as a substitute teacher to challenge the kids who finish their work first.

I figured there was nothing there. It?s still something I might have used while subbing. One time when the Atlanta Braves were in the World Series I had them sit in a circle for do this/do that and had them repeatedly swing their arms up and down. I then starting humming the Braves chant. Id love to do something like that with that picture then ask what they see.

And you know what, it's such a cool pic that I'm sure some active imaginations could actually find something!! In fact, it might be fun to do it with different classes and play different 'theme music' during each class's search.... hmmmm.;) :) You're good teacher, my friend! ;)

We could have a research project here: the effect of music on a mind seeking meaning. Think we could get a government grant?
