Hi Dawn. So very true. If you were here friend she would go out of her way. You've written a lovely poem to her memory. Yes, A Bowl of Stew was a hoot. I will miss her. Ulla:)))

Absolutey right and so full of truth, she never gave two hoots about what people thought and she lived to help others. Nicely done in rhyme and flow. A good read

Hi Dawn. You've described Phyllis well. It didn't matter what you wrote, friend or not, she would tell it like it was with regard to her reviews. Much valued advice and always there to help out. She will be missed. Marilyn

Such a nice tribute you have here to honor Phyllis Stewart. Nice penguins in photo choice, which suggests her loyalty and endurance. You did a good job with the rhyme scheme, too!

Thanks very much. Actually, the penguin choice is referring to the wonderful poems her "penguin family" wrote every Christmas (and other holidays). They were adorable.

Dawn, This is a very nice tribute you have penned in honor of Phyllis. I love the art work you chose of the cute little penguins which makes me think of her penguin poem she would pen at Christmas and other holidays. You used great heartfelt words. Thanks for sharing my friend. love and blessings, Teri

Your poem (and the great photo) are fitting tributes to Phyllis. While she occasionally talked about her health - the fact that she found an outlet for creating/entertaining/teaching, and that she kept moving forward is inspirational. I always found her reviews both helpful and uplifting.

Dawn,
What special tributes and thoughts these are - and so true. Phyllis's words were golden in a review and never to be questioned. *smile* All those years as an English teacher stamped her suggestions as golden. haha
She never minded giving her opinion and she will be sorely missed.
You know, I've been really surprised at the number of writers who've said they never traveled in her circle. So weird. And so sad.
The use of enjambment makes this even more cool - nice job.
Thanks, friend.
