Hi Cindy. I've read several of your chapters. Each well written and flows effortlessly, it seems. You have a good grasp of the direction of your story. Described with interesting dialogue and theme. Image is striking, enticing the reader into the fantasy. Marilyn

Cindy - I really enjoyed this. Very inventive and absorbing. Lots of mystical and magical elements but still down-to-earth.
So true - weariness can be overcome by the simple, but essential, things of life, rest, food ... a bath. But the camaraderie is also a powerful element. You expressed this well.
I loved the names you chose.
The dream not quite a dream aspect is intriguing and charming.
Nice job,
God bless and my best,
Relda

Hello. I am reading this with no background. It still reads well and kept me going to the end. Ah Dragons so many of us wish they were still about.
I will try to read more when the chapters pop up.

Another engaging chapter. I think you could make it even more engrossing for the reader if you mentioned what the edible bulbs looked like and tasted like. How did the fried fish taste. I'm surprised that the dragons want their fish cooked and smiled at the dragoyles who wouldn't share.
I'm a little confused as to who were present at the vision encounter with the witch. I guess it was only Aaron and Duane and all the dragons. I was surprised that Duane got such a high compliment but maybe it's because Aaron already knows how highly the witch thinks of him.
"How do you do that? Dylan" (missing end quotes after the question mark)

This is so interesting, I wish I could see these young dragons! I love the idea, and I loved this chapter even though I'm right in the middle of your book. Are the dragoyles different from the dragons? You might add in the notes section a list of who everybody is, I've seen other people do that and it's helpful. Well done!

Thanks. You came into the story pretty late. The rest is all available in my portfolio if you're interested. The dragoyles are a little different; kind of a hybrid.

I'm not a fantasy fiction fan, but I love dragons. Great choice of names: Mountain, Yellow,ink.... Interesting detail that dragons could not cry.
A good witch is a nice twist. This is well-written and could be made into a Disney movie.

Thanks for the six! I'd love to see it as a movie. What a thrill that would be.

So the witch has left Aaron and the dragons now. It seems we might be nearing the end of your intriguing story.
Just a few points:
Young women would come to her for for learning - 'for' is repeated.
The dragons made a mournful chorus of sounds he had never heard from their throats. - I might have rearranged this differently 'From their throats, the dragons made a mournful chorus of sounds he had never heard before.'
With you I have no fear for the future." - comma after 'you'
"They seem okay," Duane said as Red proved the grumbler wrong - comma after 'said'
"You can all meet up in a dream that isn't quite a dream? How do you do that? Dylan asked. - quote marks needed after 'that'
I found myself swimming with him, first in the river and then in sea after he made it there - should be 'then in the sea'
Cheers

This just seems to get better every time I read it. I could tell how sad the dragons were when the witch explained to them that her time was coming to an end in that realm. More dragon eggs? I missed that somewhere. I'm enjoying reading this well written saga. Great job and well done!
