This is a lovely, very well-written posting in tribute to Phyllis. Upon reading it, I'm sure her family will appreciate her shining character more, if that is even possible. It's wonderful to have people like her touch our lives no matter how brief a time it may be. I'm sure Phyllis would be thrilled to know that you are going to give limericks a try. :-)

thank you for your comments, Janet. Any limericks I do manage to produce will be totally due to Phyllis's influence, and I am not ashamed to admit that.

This is why I chose that aspect. I know she did it for a lot of people, and it was always so personally axed. And she never made me feel stupid or as though I was wasting her time. To me being a great coach/teacher is perhaps as important in its own way as being a great writer.
