Wow that is just beautiful! The photo, the tribute...so true!

I could see her in Heaven, looking into Jesus' eyes and feel the joy she's having on the other side. Well done, my friend. I'm sorry for your loss. Prayers and hugs XX

Aw, thank you, Rebecca, for the lovely 6 and wonderful review. I will miss Phyllis a lot. It's nice that we become a family on here, I wouldn't have known her if I'd not found FS. I wouldn't have known you, either! Big, warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Sandra
This is a well written letter of farewell to a poet who is missed
a lot already. It seems she was close to a lot of people here.
I liked here penquin family poems.
This shows both your faith and hers.
Keep writing
Joan

A lovely well written tribute, Sandra. It reads as though it just flowed out of you, so smooth and easy and filled with affection.

May Phyllis rest in eternal peace.

Blessings Julia

Well done with this heartfelt remembrance. She will be missed by many on FS, since I joined in 13 she has always been a big help, she always spoke her mind and it was very much appreciated by me. She's home now and no longer in pain. Thank you for sharing this. God bless
August

I know what you mean by she always spoke her mind, that was what endeared her to me. We had a few set toos, but always ended up laughing and making up. She was a one of a kind and I'll miss her. FS will miss her in lots of ways, she was a wonderful lady with a huge heart. Thank you so much for those six stars, August, and the lovely words you've said, they mean a lot. Warm hugs, my friend, Sandra xxx

Look to the penguins, for there is here smile! :) :) She taught me so much since I joined just over a year ago... and her unique prose style will be sorely missed. Thank you for such an appropriate farewell, Sandra -- tearful and perfect. ;) :) Yvette

Thank you, Yvette. I will miss her terribly. She fanned me the day she joined, I wrote children's story poems then and she went through them, putting the commas in the right place, lol. I never got them right. She was a teacher who never stopped teaching. We became friends away from FS, and I just can't get my head around her not being here anymore. I'm so pleased you liked my tribute to her, my friend, it means a lot. Big, warm hugs. Sandra xxx

Sandra, this is beautiful. Phyllis would be honored, and so proud of you. She will be sorely missed. I enjoyed reading her works. I wish I had known her longer and had taken more opportunity to learn from her.

Thank you so much, Wry, for your lovely comments. I remember when Phyllis joined FS, we became friends straight away. I'm going to miss her a lot, she was my shoulder to cry on throughout many sad times, as well as a strict teacher, lol, I'm sure she would have given up on me several times over the dreaded comma. It won't be the same now. Warm hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

This is great, Sandra. You said it all here in this poem. She loved hiking and exploring. That could be her in the picture. Well done my friend. xxx Nancy:)

When I saw that picture, I thought exactly that. It was Phyllis at the top of her mountain surveying the scene. The lady has the same colour and length hair, too. She spoke a lot about her hiking and climbing days, didn't she? Thanks for reading my tribute to her, Nancy. Warm hugs, my friend. Sandra xxx

Yes, It was the same for me. Did you see the one Thomas posted. She made a beautiful Angel. Well done. Everyone loved her.

If you look into her website, you'll find that picture of her there, minus the wings, though she has them now. It was lovely seeing her pictures and photos, I don't know why I didn't go into them before. She has her website link on her profile page. She was certainly a very beautiful lady, and Katy looks very much like her. So sad her life ended so painfully. xx

Hello Sandra, what a lovely dedication to Phyllis. Your poem is so heartfelt and, of course, beautifully written. It is so sad when a member dies, and we have lost a few recently. Your poem is a lovely addition to the book. Love Dorothy xx

Thank you, Dorothy. It was this time last year that we lost Dean and Michael, then it was Brook, now we are starting this year off in the same way!
I wanted to tell you how much I like your photo, it's nice to put a face to the person on the phone and on here. And congrats again for the Recognised Writers award! Much love, Sandra xx

Yes, I will miss her as well, but I am so glad she is no longer in torment. You wrote this poem in honour of Phyllis, so beautifully. She would be proud to read this final tribute, but like you have stated, we will meet again.
Drew xx

I can't imagine FanStory without Phyllis Stewart. She was my close friend and taught me a lot. She watched over Bowl of Stew and stopped me from making many mistakes. Sometimes my humor went too far. She always pulled me back.

Phyllis was a strong character and would speak her mind if she thought it necessary. But, she was always fair. We had a big spat once, but before it went OTT we laughed and made up, as close friends do. You have that close partnership you shared with her in your series Bowl of Stew. The memories you made while writing them are yours to keep and later smile over. Thanks for reading my tribute, Tom. Sandra xx
