I admired your adding rhyme to your 5-7-5 along with the parallel artwork. I can't have a dog, since I live up thirty-two stairs in a condo, but I enjoyed this canine vicariously in your poem. Best wishes in the competition- Joan

I think this is a good Witty animal 5-7-5 contest writing prompt entry.
The short verse tells about a playful pouch acting like a child.
