The words in this poem speak about friendship. Friendship is always a good thing and a comfort for one another. You say you live in Canada. Quebec is such a exquisite spot, probably we can have coffee in the dream cafe there.

Dear Author a lovely thought, Did you intend to have your lines skip regular spacing? It did distract me terribly from your ideas as they were presented one by one. I do not know if other reviewers had the same problem, or just ignored that feature of your entry, or thought it cute!

Dear Laurel, mayhaps you are blessed with a leaping mind. many of your generation have them too. Just try to remember that most of the readers and reviewers on FanStory are in their 80s like me.

This is a wonderful leap year poem. You've taken a very simple topic and turned it into a complex yet understandable poem. Sometimes I realize how different I am when I ask people if they think in words or pictures. The majority answers pictures. I think completely in words and they run in front of my face like a ticker tape while I'm talking or listening to someone else. I think that is why bad grammar totally throws me. That is why I like the line words come faster than you can pen. Writers float.I think you have a terrific contest entry here. This is a wonderful poem. Best of luck! Terry C.
