I have heard about the fires and your poem describes the serious nature of them perfectly. It's heartbreaking, all of the injured people and animals, someone told me it has been going on for over three months already and that the prime minister does not care that much, I really hope things will improve.

Hi Bichon Thanks for your review and it is sad to see all the losses However people seem to want to blame someone or the Govt so our Prime minister has been targeted He is doing quite a lot actually and we do live in a very fire prone hot country
There are many reasons for fire breakouts and hopefully lessons will be learn?t out of this situation But I am sick of hearing about Climate Change as the main cause also. Anyway hopefully we will be able to get the fires out however it is still very early in our Summer Season fingers crossed
    cheers

This is the second poem I've seen tonight about Australian Bushfires. So sad. I lived through the 1983 Ash Wednesday fires - after being trapped in the small rural township of Balhannah - it might be bigger now, but back then it wasn't. Terrifying experience I hope never to repeat.
So sorry to hear about the loss of life. It is a terrible tragedy.

This is very sad reading and I feel for Australia at this time. The bush fires have devastated many lives. Your poem is both poignant and sad, love Dolly x

A very well-written heartfelt 5-7-5 quad-stack of 5-7-5 explaining the devastating and hopeless feeling to see all around destroy by raging fires and all efforts to stop the fires are in vain.

Your 5-7-5 Oops is about a true-to-life horror story. The firefighters are brave indeed to have to battle this extraordinary blaze. I hope and pray it can be contained soon. Blessings to everyone. Hugs, Marilyn

Your poem is vividly descriptive and moving--describing the horror your
land is experiencing. Line 4 has six syllables. Line 7 has four. Line 9 has
six.

Excellent poem about the tragedy that has befallen your country. I am so sorry for your losses and this horrible natural disaster. Your poem is very well written and to the point, yet the emotion is clear and it evokes compassion. It is well presented, black on gray, in a plain font and a clear picture of what's happening. We're praying for Australia!
