I think this is a good entry for the Rondel Poetry writing prompt.
Nicely rhymed and it tells a good story.
Well done and good luck with the contest.
Happy New Year.

There is something certainly calming about the antics and even the waiting we go through in our 'pursuit of fish'! ;) :) This is a lovely-written Rondel for the contest that effectively conveys that personal peace that fisherman find within them selves and in communion with the natural world around... :) Thanx for sharing and good luck! ;)

You've written an excellent Rondel poem with very good imagery
of the experience of fly fishing in the serenity of nature.
Exact to the Rondel form in rhyme and repeats as near as I can tell.
Perfect picture to match your words
Well done
Good luck in the contest and the fishing.

I know a few people who do fly fishing and love it. You have written
a lovely poem about it. I like the line.......I will never tire of the relentless pursuit of fishing much. Nice job. Good luck.

Well done for this form - and I can just see one of our sons fishing like this - he still loves fishing, but doesn't have much time for it, more's the pity. Sometimes it seemed our son would simply "talk" the fish onto his line - I like the viewing of the deer in your poem. it all seems real.

A very well-written Rondel about fly fishing and the fisherman's experience early morning casting his line into the currents clutch. It takes a lot of patience and determination to be successful.

Wonderfully written poem - I had never heard of a Rondel but you seem to have done very well with it. I love fishing, and you have described it well. I think the best part is the peace and the abundance of gorgeous nature surrounding you. Your rhyming is perfect, word choice beautiful, and you have chosen an outstanding picture to complement your work. Good luck!
