This is a beautiful tribute to your son, and I will take this brief time to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. But you still manage to write beautifully, and you still manage to praise Jesus Christ, which I know can be hard for people after the loss of a child. This is wonderfully written, and it is writing that I can feel, which is my kind of writing. Thank you for sharing this.

when you lose your only each year old son and have to make a decision to donate his organs and then 8 months later your wife from a second heart attack due to the fact that she didn't want to live and stopped her meds you start to think differently...
yes depression and grief will take over a second time with a much stronger foothold and there's just thrown back down into the pit of depression?
you're sailing tears coating the wrongs as you try so desperately to get back to the real world?
as you slip and fall and curse yourself you can hear the bird you can see the sun you can smell the flowers but...
You cursed your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for living each and every day!
but then one day after two and a half years when you're trying again to climb that ladder which you failed so many times there's a hand reaching down to grab and pull you out?
    ...
"Your testing is done now you're writing will begin young man!"
"Choose your words wisely, I give you now the power to write from the Mind, Heart, and the Soul.
"And, there are very few like You on Earth!"
    Heavenly Father.
If you find my work you will notice in the editor's notes that credit goes first to heavenly father and his son and only son also Jesus Christ!

Dear Ricky, I'm glad that you're celebrating here below and your dearly beloved son Jason is celebrating above this New Year! I love the way you can work poems around your son's untimely death. I liked the picture too. Dove

Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt, moving, and personal piece. It resounds with such humbleness and emotion for the reader. Very well thought out and presented piece. Thank you for sharing a powerfully moving poem.

The idea that those left on earth can join in celebration with those who have, in the past, passed, is not a new one, but I have seldom seen that idea so well expressed as in this piece of free verse. Well done indeed

I actually welcome in the new year completely alone for my daughter and her boyfriend and my grandson were out partying with my daughters friends song after I wash a b c rock the New Year celebration for a little bit I decide to stay nice and warm under my blankets and watch some horror movies until I decided it was time to go to sleep
loneliness can plague even the heart and hearty being I'm in it basically alone is a widower now 17 years old just a few minor when I would call not relationships but altercations.
    Thanks,

I love this poem because it's so easy to relate to it. Things don't always go the way we expect but I guess that's the way life is. Also, I love your image choice.

About every 100 pieces I post I bring my son into it and give him credit as he has a conversation with me from above.
I got this idea many many years ago when my grandson is now going on at 11 and was just a two year old child.
when I had addition put on my house in 85 is so large up above the original addict that you can walk around.
Since I had four daughters in a lot of leftover stuff. And a lot of comforters the left side is known as Dolly land while the right side is known as the church where I have Bibles.
There's also some children's old plastic toys.
    One was a Fisher-Price phone.
When I was up there with Alex the phone rang?
at that point I had a chance to have in the fictional conversation and teach Alex about his uncle just so cool!
as my conversation which was short for grassed I told Alex that your uncle wants to talk to you!
    ...
And then he started having his own fictional conversation which was so cute.
I also wrote this to promote of course organ tissue donation and also with the change in the holiday.
    Thanks,
    Ricky

As the list grows sadly during the holidays organs are deeply needed to be passed on from our deceased love one to let others live.

Nice, the passage of time is deep, especially in2020. It feels as of life goes faster with every passing day. May you have a very happy new year with tear drop of everyone you miss

With each and every tear in this world that is shed another unfortunate child has to die and their organs are donated to save lives.
Thanks and have a happy and healthy New Year from my family to yours..
