I think this lovely verse is a good match for the beautiful artwork posted here.
Nicely done, this very well rhymed verse compares the cycle of nature to our lives.
Thank you for sharing this with us.

Hi Bucketlist, This is an incredible photo. You can't help but be affected by it. I suppose that its interpretation is going to be with the viewer though. I've always wanted to make a family tree in just that image. Our roots are like a tree in themselves and our future branches out to create its own tree. I have just spent the last several months putting together a family history though so I'm not surprised at my view of the tree.
I can definitely see your view as well. It's nice to sit back and reflect on the things that you've done with your life. We, my siblings and I have fun when the opportunity offers, going through my mom's memorabilia with her and hearing her old stories! :)

I think as we age, not only do our eyes become fixed on our mortality, (which is not profitable unless it's a positive thing) but also on the blessings and events and influences that have shaped our lives. But I'm so glad I met God, and His imparted wisdom, it's given me two dimensions to adorn my life. A beautifully written Ballad style rhyme, abcb, well done, blessings, Roy

Trish, This is a very well written poem you have penned in free verse about life's reflections. You used great descriptive words and very lovely imagery. I enjoyed reading and reviewing. I love the way you brought the tree into this lovely poem. Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year! love, Teri

The tree of life()Remember that Spring follows Winter. () We can still contribute to life even in Winter () The contribution will differ from Spring or Summer but can still be of importance. () Just as the beauty of the barren tree.

Yes, that picture is amazing especially with the reflection off the lake. I'm a photographer besides a writer so, I can appreciate it.
...
trees will outlive us by hundreds a year especially to redwood forest in California.
they have found from the markings inside some of them to be close to a thousand years old.
So not only do they provide warmth and shelter they also are records of past life just as you posted with the reflections.
Well written and thanks Dr. Ricky 1024

This is poignant, Trisha. Perhaps I am too moved by the relevance of your words to my life. I like your rhymes reflections and connections. We as humans, particularly humans that write, should reflect on the various connections with nature. These connections give meaning and understanding to our life cycle.
It's hard to imagine that we are in the final stages of that cycle. But we are, and we need to draw sustenance from that.
