Hi Trisha, This is a Potlatch I was gone for! I've never done one of these before. I liked this Old Man Winter poem... but I'm giving him a sleeping pill for a couple of days. Here in New England, I woke up this morning, turned off the heat and opened the windows! I'm not closing them until tomorrow evening when the cold front comes back through! LOL A fun poem :)

I used to live near Vermont, so I can relate to the erratic temperatures . I appreciate your kind review, and I?m glad that you enjoyed my challenge version.

I think this is a very good shape poem.
While keeping the shape of a candle light, the well written verse tells about winter.
Well done. I think you've met the challenge very nicely.

Great graphic and matching narrative. It sent shivers down my spine thinking about this season...not my favorite, but still eerily beautiful. I suppose this season is always referred to as an old man--fittingly so. I'm told many older folks actually die in the Winter.

I really enjoyed your winter poem. I love the words about winter creeping along and darker days being present. It really describes our winter here in the state of WA. Your poem brings me chills. Great use of words. Reminds me of the fun we can have even in winter. Great job.

I enjoyed your club poem, Bucketlist. Your image choice sets the tone for your well-written poem. Your words are descriptive--I could picture all of what you wrote. I like your color scheme, too. Ol' man Winter seems to be causing many issues in some areas while avoiding others. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully with Love, Jan

Yes winter brings a precarious weather system, which can take lives without caution. Writing about it is fun. Jan,
thank you very much for your positive review,

Very nice candle light poem! The picture you've painted is spot on. Old Man Winter is here to stay awhile. For those who enjoy ice fishing, this is great. I prefer to stay inside with some hot chocolate!
