Thank you so much, dear Tony, for your exceptional and enthusiastic six-star review of the story of our romantic marriage proposal between my husband Jorge and me. (I used the anglicized "George" because that's how we pronounce it, rather than the Latin pronunciation, "Hor-hay"). It's so wonderful to share a forever kind of love, in a bond of holy matrimony. Our wedding was also more spectacular than anything I could have dreamed of, and our honeymoon was dreamy indeed. We didn't travel far -- our own Long Island in New York has a place called Montauk Point, which is always beautiful, and was more affordable in the early autumn, when we got married, and fairly private, being at the close of the season.
Yes, I felt the full blessings of the Lord God upon our union. I was a very joyful bride. Thanks for reading and reviewing this story, especially! God bless you, my friend.

Thank you, Tony, for your beautiful compliments on the story of our relationship. Actually we went through a difficult time last week because Jorge got sick and spent 5 days in the hospital. I felt so lonely without him! It wasn't Coronavirus, in fact they tested him immediately and it was negative (we've already had it, anyway). His ulcers were giving him trouble (we think he had some internal bleeding), and he also had a mild case of pneumonia, which the doctors treated with antibiotics. He's doing very well now.

Tell Jorge to get up and out of that hospital because one day I am waiting for you to have " na tazzullel e caffe Napulitana insieme" in Naples! I, too, am suffering hell for arthrosis so I am waiting for the gyms to be re-opened to train at the pools- two hours per week. Old age is a real beast, believe me! Blessings and take care Mary Kay! Thank you very much, Marilyn! I have been receiving such beautiful reviews for my story, and it warms my heart - I read them all to my husband, too! What amazes me is how often people read between the lines and see things I didn't include - for example, you used the word "respect." That's been a huge aspect of our relationship throughout our friendship, engagement and marriage (15+ years now), yet I never used the actual word in the story. Your observation reinforces my self-confidence as a writer, but it also shows that you are sensitive and perceptive in how you read. Merry Christmas to you too, and God bless!

Thanks, Marilyn, for fanning me back! :-) I'm also glad that you like my photo, which I forgot to mention in my first reply. I think the photo was taken at one of the weddings we attended together, in the years just before our engagement. I've lost some weight since then, but also put on some years, lol. I also love that photo -- when friendship was growing deeper, leading to love.

This is what I would call a lovely love story. It was love at first sight for him, but not for her. As the love grew into a very strong very devoted friendship, she saw people around her getting married and realized that's what she wanted. When she said yes, she did not have a doubt in her mind. I love the story, and how she married her very best friend. This is beautifully written and a joy to read. Thank you for sharing the story with us.

I didn't know that I can do anything about the font size, but I will look into it -- you're right, it is small.
