This is a wonderful painting, Pam. So cute and freeing. Your tanka expresses fun and I like that as well as your sense of whimsy with the snowflake on the penguin's nose and the thought of him dancing.

Did you notice his shoes. He is about to lift up his right foot. The Flapper involves flapping of the arms and alternate kicking with leg. Thanks for the wonderful review. I am leaving the. site for awhile. Will have miss you

Yes, I can see the flapper being done by this young penguin. And he seems to be enjoying the dance with the music clearly being heard in his head. I suspect, he sees the snowflakes assisting in creating teh cheerful rhythms.
