Thanks for the charming kitty picture and safety tips. First, a disclaimer--my son is a bachelor and my tree is short enough for me to reach the top to add a star (which I still need to do) grandma or not! I enjoyed your story about Marmalade in these rhymed quatrains. Deck the hall- Joan

Five stars for humorous content in these four rhymed quatrains. And also, because no other reviewer has mentioned this with the choice of Marmalade for the cat's name: this gives a whole new meaning to a recipe for freezer jam (and I sincerely hope this poem had nothing to do with a true-life pet.)
The only thing I would change is to capitalize Grandma. That is because Grandpa and Grandma are titles like names as they are used here. Super use of rhyme. Funny post!

This is kind of sad for a Christmas time poem. Poor kitty! I guess we can all take comfort in knowing that Marmalade's soul is happily frolicking in heaven even if his remains have to wait a bit to find their peace. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

Dawn, this is a serious and funny tribute to the family cat. Your presentation and form were perfect for this verse. I enjoyed reading your feline fantasy. :)

We don't have trouble with snow here. In fact, it is 39C here today. I'm very thankful that we're retired and can stay in out of the heat. I enjoyed your poem about poor Marmalade. I suppose the snow will preserve him 'in a tidy manner'. lol
