This is true of the lens of the eye as well as the camera. Sometimes the camera sees clearer. If you are troubled about something, that can cloud
your view. This tanka is a good metaphor for troubles such as these.
Congrats on placing third in the contest.

Five unusual thematic al lines of a perfectly written tanka, beautifully set within the poetry contest with a specific foculized narrative storyline which zooms the desired photographical spot but the lens are hindered by the fog so the photographer can't take any photos at all even if the camera can. Excellent

This tanka reminds the reader that what the camera lens records and what the human eye sees are two different things. Sometimes even moods like being 'fogged by disillusionment' causes one to think they see a different image. Interesting share.
