I'm amazed at how talented you are! Could you please give me some? You art is pure homespun Americana and crowns your short style poem so nicely. Sublime!
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xoxo

This is beautiful. I take it by your note that you painted this yourself. That makes this poem even more beautiful.I really liked the image created by the words clap politely. You are extremely talented. Beautiful piece of work.

This tanka, Ladybug Dancers, looks good and captures the movements of both beetles and stamen as the quest for reproduction rages.

Hello Pam. I adore this painting and the tanka that's goes with it. You have done a lovely job in portraying the dance of wildlife in Nature ~ especially insect dancers. So fun.. Well done.

I love the words "clap politely." Thanks for teaching me more about lady bugs and cross polinazation. Methinks both t he ladybugs and the violets are dancing in the breeze.

Are the ladybugs or the violets "dancing" in the breeze?
I don't know about the American ladybug, but thinking of the British ladybird, I struggled to visualize them dancing. I suppose a cartoon depiction could conjure such a scene. However, I like the visuals of blooms "dancing" in the breeze.
And I like the simplicity of the image you've chosen to accompany this poem {thumbs up}.

Ladybug Dancers", is short succinct and very much to the point. With a minimum of words, this talented poet has told it as it is. I look forward to seeing your next post.
