I somehow missed this post until now, and it certainly is appropriate for this chilly day! I enjoyed your description of "An autumn repose" in five-syllable lines and a matching picture. Smiles- Joan

Hi Alicia. This is nicely composed, descriptive and well illustrated of a chilly autumn day. Makes me want to curl up and enjoy the goodies you have placed by the window.
Instructions say "6 verses, 5 syllables each line" ~ maybe 6 lines, 5 syllables each line?

Hi Alicia. I thought it was 6 lines of 5 syllables, but I could be the one who's wrong. How did you make out in the contest? Is it over? Hugs, Marilyn

This is an excellent entry, author, but in case no one has filled you in yet, the contest rules say that pictures aren't allowed. The FS committee won't let this go through to booth with the picture on it. There's still time to reedit and fix it so it complies to the rules. Best of luck in the voting.

just a heads up for your beautiful poem. there are no pictures allowed. i wouldn't want you disqualified for this mistake. it seems that poets haven't read the whole requirements. love and hugs,

Simple yet lovely and warm. One of my favorite moment you just gave the words.
The picture is nice. Would be better if the water marks are not there.

I enjoyed your tableau, Mystery Author. Good job on the syllable count per 6 lines--not 6 verses. I envision this autumn scene perfectly. The rules state no picture--so better delete it. Thanks for sharing and best wishes. Respectfully, Jan

Hiyah Kah! I changed the title. I appreciate you catching that. There's more... No graphics, but I'm muslim instead of non-practicing muslim if I following the rules. Lolz. You're nice. Thank you. Hearts & hugs, Alicia

I really like this tableau, especially paired with that wonderful photo. Yes, what is more representative of autumn than sweaters and cocoa and "lively leaves"?
CAUTION. The prompt directions say "tableau" should be in your title. Rod

Well done. It has been a beautiful fall. Picture and colors chosen added to the meaning of the words.
Fall in repose ... before the cold hits.
Fall and a cup of hot chocolate is the best.

Hi! I say autumn more often. So I wrote it that way. I grew up East Coast. So the season actually exists. Thank you :)

Love your picture about autumn. It seems like we just can't hold onto the warm 70's days; we live in a state where we have sweater weather and what's known as having four seasons. The cocoa weather is approaching. Stay warm!

Hi Rosemary! Life is still that way for many. California cold fall nights gets the weather (it snows in northern california) or Washington all those rainy autumn days & nights. New England and Colorado is definitely stuck with sweaters and cocoa weather too. Thank you. Hearts & hugs :)
