Great memorial to your lost loved one! I am with you on poetry, I like the simple format, rhyming lines. Also a firm believer in the Afterlife, and who better to meet us, than a loved one who went on before us? Living long means losing many people, losing family is the hardest.
Like your phrase, "children 10 to 100," as i don't believe in ever growing up.

-You wrote a very good
love poem for your wife, Willie.
-I am sorry for your loss, but
she is there in your heart.
-I imagine she would like
this poem very much, too.
-Soothing thoughts,
imagery, and rhyme, as
you think about how
much she meant to you.
-Good luck in the contest.

I am so sorry for your loss, Willie. My parents managed 64 years before they were seperated, but not for long. Mum joined my dad three years after. Your poem is so very sweet and romantic. The love of your life, your soul mate, you will be together one day and will know then it will be for eternity. I really enjoyed your poem, well done and good luck! :)) Sandra xx

What a sweet tribute. I, too like poetry to rhyme. This one has a timeless quality--reminds of the things I used t red to my grandmother on Sunday afternoons--so I would say you got your message aross. The image you chose is apt to the style.

Hello, Willie,
I'm sorry for your loss. You are a brave soul to write about the love of your life, your life companion. It helps to write about it. Well done!

Very emotional with full of love and feelings about losing someone you love. Nicely done with rhyme . God bless you and your loved ones. I like the last 4 lines more. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece.

This is a very beautiful poem about losing a loved one. I have to give you an exceptional rating. To lose a loved one is not easy; it takes much time to get over such a loss.

I feel for your loss, Willie. What a long marriage, no wonder you feel the pain of your beloved's absence from your life. It has given your words the ring of deep and authentic emotion, expressed truly in an appealing manner. The imagery of wings is effective.

A pleasant, readable, rhyming poem which blends nicely with we believers. It brought back a memory for this marriage of 44 years when my wife and others were talking to our preacher after a funeral for another member. In his message, he had talked at length about how man and wife would be re-united in Heaven forever. So, I asked him if that was negotiable. "I'm afraid not, Mr. Turner, but you'll get used to it." Laughter is at the foundation of our years... Enjoyed it.
