Oh my goodness! I can't imagine traveling 1900 miles over so few days. You are an amazing traveler! And wow! I sure hope Jim's sister thanked you for getting her so to stop vaping. What a blessing you have been to them!
Seems like Fanstory garbled up some of your numbers:
which put us ½ mile
That was a 2 ½ hour delay.

You are so welcome Helen, lol, it was actually a week or rather 5 days. It was her son that stopped vaping, I don't think she has smoked a day in her life, whew. I fixed those corrections before I wrote this, sometimes the FanStory Gremlins go to work.

I see I had a typo in my note to you. I wrote "her so" but meant "her son." Your writing was clear - I think is wonderful! You saved a life!

Awww you are so welcome Helen.

Hi Alie glad to read that every thing is looking good for you and your bo. I hadn't reviewed anybody. I'm in San Antonio working on my house. I need everything inside. Sleep on cots and the nights are cold the day hot. Been here a couple of weeks. Got an acre of land and lots of insects. :) but my wife and I are happy. Be going to Brownsville next week and bring more stuff to the house. That's as far as I travel not like you and your guy. I like your on the road story. I'll see if I have time to catch up.

Wow, good luck Jose on the house, that in itself is an adventure. We were in San Antonio for a little over a month and I even know the Brownsville area but only spent about a week there. Insects, yep, nasty little critters. Enjoy your new home, thanks for reviewing.

So, tell me Alie is this job permanent for Jim, and what does he think about all this dirt, beige and brown. It must have looked funny seeing the length of your rig trying to fit in spaces designed for VW's smile. I'm still on your side if you decide to divorce Jim for this I'll be a character witness.LOL

Thank you so much Anne for reviewing and for your great support. We are not sure yet, it all depends on whether he is happy with them and they are happy with him. Well he leaves in the dark, gets home in the dark, so except for weekends he doesn't see the dirt, beige and brown lol. Luv u

Alie,
Wow. What an adventure! Do you guys live in the RV year-round? I bet you've seen a lot of the US. So, what's on the semi?
This was really interesting! Thanks!

Thanks Robyn for reviewing. Yep that's our home on wheels and has been since 2013. We have seen as far north as mid Virginia on the east coast, various parts of the New York, all of the middle part from North Dakota to Texas and all the states from top to bottom, we have done Montana, Wyoming going west and now Arizona. It has been an adventure lol. The semi is red with yellow flames, we got it in the fall of 2014, not my choice of color but the price was great. Because it is converted for RV use neither of us have to have CDLs and the insurance is actually cheaper than when we had the duley. Whew.

Well, when you get back down toward North Alabama, you MUST stop to say hi. I'll be mad if you don't.

As a Brit the thing that really impressed me about this travelogue was how well it put over the sheer size of the USA and the distances you were prepared to drive. Anothe thing was again the sheer size of your rig. Out UK roads simply could not cope with that kind of vehicle, apart from the motorways. At least you were able to relocate to find work more easily than you wouldhave had you been living in bricks and mortar.
The part with Jim's sister sounds, well, let's just say, interesting. Pagans down the ages have always proved to be religiously more tolerant of other's religions than those of firm Christian beliefs. The latter preached 'love they neighbour', then burnt him at the stake if he thought and prayed differently. Strane that, don't you think?

Thank you so much Jim for reviewing and your great comments. I guess people just do not realized the size of the country until you drive it and we didn't even do coast to coast lol. I think I like the native belief system about the golden rule- 'Do onto others as you would have done onto you, but do it first.'

Hi Alie. Your account of your travels is very well written, detailed, and interesting. The rig you're driving is impressive. I'm sorry to hear of the five-car pile up on the road, but certainly glad that you weren't involved. It was interesting, too, to hear how Jim gets him jobs--applying on line and getting confirmation, travel to interviews, new jobs, new locations. It's quite a lifestyle you two have shared. Marilyn

What comes across is your enjoyment of travel, even with such long hours on the road. It seems you had good weather which is a plus. Like your descriptive style. It's laconic but vivid.
Good luck with your book.
Blessings Julia

I enjoyed your continuing story, aryr. You did a great job chronologically. I enjoyed the discussion about watching the 15 year old and the current issue with vaping. I'm thrilled he saw the damage it could do and that you encouraged him to quit. What a relief to find a park next to a Mexican restaurant, right? Those KOA grounds sound old and almost obsolete.
You have some extra large A things that can be gotten rid of. Go to your edit page, delete them, THEN highlight and SAVE while highlighted. Also--bosders-->borders
Thanks for sharing. Respectfully with Love, Jan

Thank you Roy for reviewing and your kind comments. Jim does gas line and meter inspections/surveying. I will fix those in a moment.

This is very well written and thoroughly engaging. I love how you intersperse pieces of personal background into the travelogue as it lends a sense of perspective and credibility to the overall tone of the story. I look forward to the next part eagerly. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.
