As historical narrative, this chapter 15 gives a down-to-earth pastime.. Born in eastern Kentucky, and having shipped overseas to the Panama Canal Zone for two years, I can identify a little bit with Bill's more sacrificial Vietnam tour.

The pace moves well, which for someone dipping in is good. The dialogue seems real as well.
I'm rusty on grammar at the mo, so no tips there...sorry

So far, this has been one of my favorite chapters. Not only because it was the most well-written, not only because it flowed the best and was the most easily recognizable from character to character (though what happened to the different font for each one?) but because I felt so familiar with everything you were talking about.
This is my neighborhood, too, and I've enjoyed the blessings of visiting the Indian tribes in Tennessee AND the Opry. (I've even gotten to stand in the golden circle before on stage!) Yeehaw! (Oh, but don't get me wrong - it certainly was NOT to sing. hahahaha)
I enjoyed the story and really loved this part of the military portion with Bill. I suppose it's strange to say I 'enjoy' war stories - better to say I 'appreciate' them. I can't BEGIN to imagine the courage these men have to have - so their stories inspire and mesmerize.
