This is a fun read and humorous too. I love all your double meanings references to sheep. My favorite is the old standard, 'he pulled the wool over my eyes'. The author's notes are long and involved. I thought it was interesting about wool clothes keeping one cooler and dryer than cotton or linen. That is good to know. Otherwise, I got bogged down with the many details about sheep in the notes. I love the funny story, though. Thanks for the laugh and merriment.
Take care, Jesse

This fellow may be the one. He won't put you asleep unless you count him. He reminds me of a young Woolyam Shatner. Wonder if he can sing the Woofenpoof Song.

If you think that one looks funny, wait til I write about the lost sheep they found that hadn't been shorn for several years. His coat was massive.

A very well-written fifty word dating progress. We all dream of a wonderful Bahamas but we should take care of who wants to take us there, it may be a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Fun info about the sheep and loved all your baaad puns about the rams and lams. Even if the Merino wool doesn't itch, I find that I get so electrically charged by wool that I zap myself and others when I wear it.
You have now officially started a new genre as two other people are writing these animal boyfriend posts!

I get ec-static about wool too.
I've reviewed a bee story by Debbie... who is the other one? I've heard that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I would never do it myself with such close similarities - 50 words and calling it a boyfriend series. I almost feel like stopping my own and beginning something new, because they might write a post about a creature I plan on doing and if they post first then it will look like I am copying their story.
I read somewhere that puns are held in low regard, but I seem to have elevated them if they are being utilised more by others.

I love your puns - you have a very creative mind and you're an expert in wordplay!

Thank you! Can you tell me who the other writer is ?

I was trying to find that out for you but I went through pages and pages of reviews I wrote and I can't remember who it was! If do remember, I'll let you know.

I love lamb chops, got to try pulling leg of lamb, but the coat it wore kept me warm in winter time, LisaMay. :) How many more before you run our of beast and insects as well as fish? You keep writing them, but give us poets a chance to love your poetry once in a while. :) Thank you for sharing.

I usually post a poem as well as a story each day - but sometimes they are 'blind' ones in contests. Do you vote in contests? Maybe you recognise my style enough now to recognise which ones are mine even though the name isn't there.
I am going to write 50 of these animal stories - someone dared me to do it for that long. I am up to 30 now.

This positing is so funny! I love the puns which you have shown to be stellar all the way through it. I also appreciate your author's notes which explain a lot about the history of Merino sheep. Not baaaaad, at all...in fact, your writing is excellent! lol

"Baahamas" - hilarious. Your wordplay is amazing in this episode of your romantic epic. I count ten including the title.

As always I appreciate your informative author notes.

I thought you might like Baahamas. Some of these animals lend themselves to more options with puns. The hardest part is making a story of it. As always, thanks for your supportive reviews.
