I remember them well, the theater with the smell of fresh popcorn and the oversized box of hot tamales. Drowning in a large Dr Pepper. Yes you nailed the perfection if the resulting blast if heart. Good write good success

Well this is darn cute. Personally, I do not think hot tamales are delectable at all, but they certainly make for a good poem about candy. It was the title that drew me in. I wasn't even thinking it would be a candy poem. The title was simply intriguing. Then you keep with the Mexican flair with your use of spices and festival. My favorite description is "red bantam bombs."
Thank you for this sweet treat of a poem.

This is such a great entry for the sweets 5-7-5 contest! I love the language used and the imagery. It made me crave hot tamales as that is one of my go-to movie candies. Good luck!

Oh, Elaine, THANK YOU!! And I'm so glad you enjoyed my fun offering -- although, gotta tell you, I'm just grateful there's no chocolate in them cuz ever since the 'the change', my body decided chocolate makes a great migraine trigger...ugh!! :) :) ;) :) Your review and wonderful comments are so very appreciated - take care and have a wonderful weekend!!
