What a different take on the approaching storm you have taken. It's brilliant with such a clever twist. Your story held me captivated from the beginning to the end. Your words paint the picture vividly of the destruction caused by Chaos. Poor Chaos, I actually felt a tinge of sympathy even though she causes so much pain, creating such suffering and having to come to the realization each time that she is the cause must be devastating with each episode of enlightenment. As for Father, does he have the power to bring both chaos and those she harms peace, I wonder?

Hi Yvette, this is so very well written. I like it a lot, and at the same time, I don't, because what you portray is so negative as it carries devastation and death. Yet, it's superbly written. I'm totally torn. Good luck in the contest. Al best. Ulla:)))

This was a very clever and well written story. Your words are well chosen and they create an eerie atmosphere, which is also spell binding. The ending came as a surprise and was in keeping with the aura of mystery.

Hello Yvette. Where do I start. I found this interesting, metaphorical, mysterious and several other attributes. It was a compelling read and challenged me to think about what I was reading and to reread in some places. Excellent. Good luck in the contest. Z

Thanx for the review, Z, yeah.... this was one that wrote itself once I established the messy beach in the beginning.... I seriously just followed the muses as I truly did not have a final goal when I first set out... :) :) But I liked it when I polished it off so, I 'm so very glad you did, too! ;) ;) Take care ! ;) Yvette

JEEEEEEEEEZZZ. I am entirely unsure about how I should feel after reading this story. It is exquisite, but then, it is also death traveling... but it is also flawless, and deserving of the best possible rating. WOW!!!

I'm glad it made you feel, Dawn, even if you're not sure what it is your feeling... that was kindof the intent: provoke... :) :) Thanx for your awesome review and those lovely stars!! :) Take care up there!

Dear Mystery Writer,

This was just stupendous. It's one of the best things I've read here in a long, long time. The cool thing was how you unfolded the story so beautifully and slowly, so that the reader was able to figure out for themselves that the narrator was actually killing those she was touching and not offering comfort. Ack!

I can't wait to find out who this writer is -- there is a quarterly flash contest by one of my favorite websites and this story is *exactly* what they are looking for. The only thing - well, two things - is that the writer has to be female and the story has to be whittled down to 750wds or less.

I wish you allllll the luck in the world for this contest (thought I don't think you'll need it. If you are interested in info on the other - holler. Thanks so much!

Wow! Okay, so waking up to your review was really a treat this morning, Robyn! So glad you enjoyed truly this one -- was one of those wrote itself once I started the beach scene in the beginning... hooray for muses on duty! ;-) :-) Pretty sure I couldn't cut this one down to 750 without completely losing the effects... :-) Take care and thank you again, my friend!
