A very well-written political Senryu and sound advice not to talk politics with friends and family especially when different sides are supported it is not worth losing dear friends or family members.

This is a great entry for this contest - I think I voted for this one. We have, in our family, someone who so totally disagrees with our views, they are rather militant. But we cannot lose the closeness of family.

This political senryu, Too Precious to Lose, presented as a 5-7-5, speaks truth to power as it shows us that the biggest divide in our country should only be Coke or Pepsi. Politics is a fight best left to CNN and Fox News.

As a mom, we live with the fact that our 'children' will go out into the world and develop opinions of their own when it comes to politics and, yes, even religion. We simply cannot let those differences create a wedge between us and those wonderful gifts of love -- life is too damn short!! Thanx for your review, Don!
