This tyburn poem, My Lovable Oddball, has the proper formatting and makes the reader smile as well. My wife needs that mug.

Thank you, my Beautiful Friend!! Oh, he's a mess, alright.... and even though he's mine, there are days that I'd just as soon put him out on the front porch with a "FREE" sign around his neck...LOL!! ;) :) I had no idea this one would work, but ya just never know with these voters these days, ya know?! :) ;) ;) ;) Congrats to you, too -- gotta love a good competition where you can go out for drinks afterwards.... sooooo, coffee? tea? wine? I'm buying!! ;) :) Take care! Yvette :)

Cool poem, Yvette. Your quirky oddball pipped my fumbling fool in the contest. congratulations! Your poem hung together well and was entertaining. He sounds fun company.

I've never seen this type of poetry. The syllabic placement is very conducive to your theme. The cadence of the words and verses contributes to the amusing tone. The last 2 verses made me smile. This will draw the reader in to reflect on the person they know who fits this description. Very well written. I hope it wins.

Well written imagery in a complicated format. In an unusual turnabout, the image directs the phrasing. They complement each other visually and humorously. Good luck in the contest... ...ec

Hello author, you have penned a fun poem. I liked your "quirky" rhyming which left me with a smirky, quirky smile. As this is a contest entry, I wish you good luck. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

Some tyburns I've read sounded disjointed and somewhat illogical. Not so with yours. It flows smoothly and is descriptive, meaningful, and delightful. Cute artwork

Well--your Tyburn poem is well done, cute, and loving. A sense of humor is what's missing in most marriages. Finding the right person, quirky or not is a blessing. Good luck in the contest. Marilyn

I love your Tyburn! I recently did one um (not for prime time - if you know what I mean) - and of course I can't ever just follow the 2 syllable rules ever with my selection of words, for the first four I don't and I in mine call it a twisted Tyburn because I do six instead of four...
Maybe I'll email it to you sometime after I know what is happening with it. LOL - I love the colors you chose for the words to be showcased. A good autumn love poem - yes MRW? I know how you feel about the cold - I'm and right there with you CQ and Beautiful Teacher - the first day it was cold I pulled out my socks, hoodie/shell, and put on the sweat pants for the first time in about 6 months. Being a Vegas gal, I thought I wanted cold and snow and when I got it for 10 years I determined that I do not! I like my warmth! I find that I do like a bit of humidity though which is nice and the occasional season is beautiful! So give our bodies a minute to get acclimated and find those cute warm clothes and coats to wear with the pretty scarfs - and we will be ready to rock the weather!!! And with a man like that to keep you warm! You're ahead of the game ;) Lots of love and hugs (warm, warm hugs) Cheers, Fonda

I had one reviewer that said it sounded contrived.... :) ;) So glad you enjoyed it, though, Beautiful Lady F -- how are you doing?? I'm wearing my fuzzy pink pants with hearts and moons right now -- had to go out earlier today but there's no sun and I'm in for the day!! ;) :) And, yeah, I gotta say: for good or for bad, I do love my humidity! ;) So good to hear from you -- yesterday was my first day 'back in the saddle (only part-time so it's only 2 days a week now: Mon and Thurs) and, I gotta say, it was nice NOT having to go in... LOL! ;) :) Wasn't too bad, though, so it is what it is.... Thursday's a full day of teaching and one leftover conference from the end of the quarter.... you know, one that it was 'such a surprise' that their child was doing so poorly (even though ALL papers always get returned the following class period meaning all the parents have to do is ASK each week...ugh). But I shall smile and be 'diplomatic', as always. :)
But my youngest comes home for the weekend so, there is that bright spot to follow up a long Thursday! ;)
Good to hear your keyboard marks here, my lady, and you know I'd love to hear from you any time -- miss your unique writing style so be sure to throw us a 'bone' now and again!! ;) Take care of you!! :) Can't Y sign V my E name T cuz T blind E contest! :) :)

I love these lively and frisky words. It's all put together very well to give a good poem. But...
I could very well be wrong (I often am) however it seems to me that the last two lines are 10 syllables each not 9.

Not at all! My goodness, isn't that what review are for ? They are definitely not for constantly healing accolades on each other that may or not be deserved -- you know, for when we post something late and we're half asleep! I do so appreciate the 'heads up'! Have a wonderful week!
